"So, who is this 'Kothy Hafersat' person, anyway?"

My love of fabric, sewing machines and techniques started in childhood, when I began learning the art of sewing from my grandmother.  Over the years, I've refined and expanded upon those basic skills, experimenting with innovative techniques and design elements.

In 1982 my "official" career began when I took a job as a quilting teacher and sewing machine instructor at a local quilt store.  As my experience in the field grew, I found the next logical step was entrepreneurship.  In 1993 I founded Kothy's Kreations in order to sell my unique patterns and embroidery.  Shortly thereafter in 1995, I was hired to the position of Instructor and Sales Manager for Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machines. 

Today, I find that teaching (and using!) the new Husqvarna Viking 3D Embroidery software is an incredibly exciting and rewarding occupation.  My passion is to develop, discuss and share new sewing methods and techniques with other creative enthusiasts, using all of the wonderful modern tools at our disposal.

And when the long day of work ends, I'm a loving wife who has been blessed with three beautiful children, and five grandchildren!
